Channel Islands Harbor

This has to be one of the sweetest events I’ve ever photographed. I’ve been to the Orange Bowl Parade and the Rose Bowl Parade, which are nice in their own professional way. But the CIH parade is truly a hometown event. It seems that anyone who wants to participate can simply join in.

Which means you have tikes on bikes, people with classic cars, a police escort, military veterans, people carrying a giant American flag, Uncle Sam, antique cars, cute kids, beauty queens, bands, people in various costumes — all having fun.
